Emma Hughes
Emma is a director and the ops manager. Being a newly qualified PPL she is the one to contact if you are thinking of learning at Compton or are already a student.
Laura Hughes
Laura is a director and the restaurant manager. She is club events organiser and the one to talk to if you would like to bring your aircraft to live with us, or already have!
Clive Hughes
One day in 1987 Clive decided to leave the comforts of Heathrow with Margaret and buy an airfield in Dorset. Seems to be working out fairly well at the moment…
Margaret Hughes
The original ‘Compton Girl’ Margaret is responsible for the restaurant being the busy place that it is! She is the managing director and Mum to all staff.
Chris Kotzé
Chris is our acting CFI and the man to talk to if you have any questions about anything licence or rating related and is a full time instructor for us.
Vicky Arnold
Vicky joined the company in March 2012 as operations assistant. She looks after our solo hirers, so if you would like to come and fly our lovely aircraft pop her an email!
Ben James
Ben is, unusually for a man, very good at multitasking. So you will find him doing everything from frying eggs to fitting engines to flying all our fleet.
Andrew Dixon
Andrew is a man of many hours…including more than 15,000 tailwheel. He is our CFI and also co-owner of DH Heritage Aviation which owns the Tiger Moth.
Dave Farrow
Dave is an ex BA captain and is now passing his knowledge on to our students! He also features regularly at our club nights…
John Keep
John Keep keeps all the light sport aircraft students in check with military precision being an ex army major. He instructs on the clubs lively little Ikarus.
Nick Robinson A.K.A Captain Grass
Captain Grass...when not flying his Starduster he is making lovely stripes along our runway in his tractor & watching movements on his grass with a keen eye!
The Restaurant Team
Compton is known for having the top airfield restaurant & cafe in the UK. This is partly due to our fantastic restaurant team - seen here posing for the 2012 calendar!
Sacha
An airfield cliche. Sacha can be found barking at visiting pilots from her royal balcony. Her favorite food is Compton's famous sausages (and naughty pilots).
