WW2 Military Flying Training Day

Tiger Moth bi-plane & Harvard Warbird
Our premium gift package, this is one of the best experiences money can buy. Dressed in a flying suit and Irvin sheepskin jacket, you'll be transported back in time to the 1940's, when these aircraft were used for training and military action.

Available from March through to October inclusive.

"If there are any more wives, husbands and partners out there who are not quite sure what to do as a birthday gift for a loved one, you won't go wrong in choosing a Vintage Flight Experience from Compton Abbas Airfield.  Hopefully I'll return some day in the future for another flight experience".

Nigel Woodward

An exciting package with flights in the Tiger Moth & Harvard Warbird as well as lunch, bubbles, free videos of your flight and a vintage photograph.

What does the experience involve?
In the morning enjoy a flight in the Tiger Moth bi-plane, enjoying time at the controls under the guidance of your pilot. The whole experience will be filmed, showing you in the cockpit along with the view, and you will receive a pen drive of the flight to keep and re-live!

If that wasn't enough excitement - you'll still have the Harvard Warbird to fly! With a 600 horse power radial engine where the propeller reaches supersonic speeds on take off, this is a once in a lifetime experience, in an aircraft that has served in air forces all over the world. With a thirty minute flight you can reach the coast and fly along the cliff tops - again with the option to be thrown upside down if you wish! The whole thing will again be filmed so you'll be able to take the memories away with you. On touchdown, get a framed photo of you, family & friends, in original vintage flying gear with an authentic backdrop.

To end the day on a high, we'll provide bubbles in a silver bucket. Have a toast on our runway terrace whilst viewing the aircraft activity and soaking up the atmosphere we are so well known for.
