Club Events

The majority of our fantastic club nights are held at our cosy club house complete with a fully licensed bar and freshly cooked grub. They are a great chance to meet new friends or catch up with old ones, drink and eat something scrumptious, listen to an inspiring talk, learn a new skill, or even shake your booty to some live music.

We also organise everything from fly-outs to other airfields en-mass, trips to the National Air Traffic Services centre at Swanwick and camping trips. See here for our club fly outs which everyone from students to members based at other airfields are welcome to come to.

Alderney Fly-Out
Thursday 11th July 2019 at 11.00 am

Arrive at the airfield for breakfast and planning ahead of an 1100hrs launch. You can fly over to Alderney, have a look at the sea, bit of lunch and sun before heading back for 17:00. We're determined to get there this year having had to cancel for weather in 2017 and 2018!

The fly-outs are always a brilliant opportunity to meet other members and fly somewhere new or fly there again with somebody different. Open to students, residents and solo hirers, email or have a chat to ops to book your place.

Open to students, solo hirers and residents and we encourage social members to come along for the trip. For students, apart from the instructor, we wil pair you with another student to share the flying and costs. We will also have a session in advance to refresh plannong for a GAR and Flightplan.

Book your place soon! All club aircraft are now full!

Lands End Fly Out
Friday 20th September 2019 at 11.00 am

Admit it, when would you ever fly to Lands End without an organised Club Fly Out?

Now is your chance, this is our last Fly Out of the season so get your name down now and start to plan work and family around it. We will be taking all the Club aircraft PA28s and C42, as well as a couple of resident aircraft, and flying down to Lands End for the day.

Starting with breakfast and planning together, you will have the aircraft from 1100hrs and they are not needed back until 1700hrs, so plenty of time to get there and have a look around and bit of lunch. Open to students, solo and residents, this is bound to be a popular trip so dont delay and get your name to or just ring Ops.

All Club aircraft are now full!
