Club Events

The majority of our fantastic club nights are held at our cosy club house complete with a fully licensed bar and freshly cooked grub. They are a great chance to meet new friends or catch up with old ones, drink and eat something scrumptious, listen to an inspiring talk, learn a new skill, or even shake your booty to some live music.

We also organise everything from fly-outs to other airfields en-mass, trips to the National Air Traffic Services centre at Swanwick and camping trips. See here for our club fly outs which everyone from students to members based at other airfields are welcome to come to.

Thursday 31st October 2019 at 7.00 pm

Come along and join us for an in-depth discovery of the world of D&D over supper.

Paul Buttolph has kindly offered to come along to the club to speak about his all-important day (and night) job. An essential resource for the flying fraternity manned by the RAF:

Situated near Southampton, RAF(U) Swanwick is the only Military Area Radar Unit in the UK.  Part of RAF(U) Swanwick, the Distress and Diversion Cell is responsible for providing immediate assistance to any aircraft, military or civilian, 24/7.  We will discuss what callsign "London Centre" can do for you and what you can do to help us.

And as Late Flying Friday has ended, our renowned Curry, with Rice & Naan with a soft drink is back on the menu for £12.50.

Please give us a call in Ops or email to reserve your supper.

Gates open at 1830 and the talk will begin at approximately 1930.

Mark Coreth - 'Flight To Hope' Talk
Thursday 21st November 2019 at 6.30 pm

Flight2Hope was not just a flying adventure, it was far more... it was sculpting in the air... Mark Coreth wanted to carve a message of HOPE and MUTUAL RESPECT between the Abrahamic Faiths in the air above the Holy Land, all as part of a sculpture he made in the heart of Jerusalem...
This was far from straight forward on every possible front - not least of all 5000 miles of flight through challenging weather!
Come and join us for an engaging and exhilarating evening in the company of club member Mark, who has had quite a few adventures in his past and this latest one being perhaps the most challenging of all.
We are doing LASAGNE, GARLIC BREAD & SALAD with a DRINK for £12.50
Gates open at 1830 hours with Mark's talk starting approximately 1930 hours
Please contact Ops to book your meal and a coveted seat for this unforgettable tale!
